Decisions and Ideas

Ever had an idea come to you,or a decision to make that you felt so strongly about, deep within your heart and strong in your mind, and eventually talked yourself out of it once everyone else around you told you what they thought you should do?

Well I’d like to give you some insight into this.

Despite what our parents and guardians taught us when we were younger, what is right or wrong for someone else does NOT mean its right or wrong for you.

Reflect back on YOUR own past experiences and what worked for you. With an open mind, check in with yourself and see if there is anything similar in your past, that you could take a lesson from in regards to your current situation.

And if there isn’t anything you can find to reflect on, and this is a first for you, Great! As we all need a first time so we can learn, discover and grow from it the result of it.

Listen to what others have to say, and take it in as just feedback. Not necessarily truth, not criticism and not harsh words but what is truthful for them, and their own past learning’s and experiences.

So be careful when basing decisions solely on other peoples opinions and what they say is right or wrong.

Have you ever watched a movie, heard a song or saw and outfit you liked, but your best friend or someone close to you thought the opposite to you?

That’s because your thoughts and feelings were based on all YOUR past life experiences, events and influences throughout your life.

So never take it to heart, or take it too seriously. It is OK to have your own different views to others close to you.

So next time you have a great idea, or need to make a decision, ask your close friends or family for some FEEDBACK, and just feedback. They have your best intentions in mind, but you ARE capable of taking all the feedback that they have offered, and using it with what you have experienced, to decide on that idea or decision of yours that can make you a very happy person.

Hey brother, great article. Yes, you are spot on, feedback is what people give us from their frame of reference. I am me, that is the way it is going to be.

    All the best Mr CK,

#1. GET CLEAR!

As specifically as possible, decide what you want. The clearer you are on what what you want to have in your life, the more likely you are to achieve it.

#2 GET PERSPECTIVE

Most people don't tell anyone what they really want or what they are struggling with, and because of that they don't get an outside perspective

#3. GET SUPPORT

Very few people (if any) achieve anything great alone. Be willing to ask others to support you

...or get a Coach!
