Two Wolves

By

While I was in America a few years ago, I was told of a little tale which I thought was quite deep and thought provoking.
I recently came across a copy of it, that was passed onto me from a fellow Coach last year, and when I recently used it with a client, they loved it and requested if I could put it up on my site for others to enjoy it. So here it is…

A Cherokee Legend of Two Wolves.

An old Cherokee was teaching his grandson about life.

He said to the boy. ” There is a fight going on inside of me,”

The boy looked puzzled. He continued “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is Evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.”

Continuing he said ” The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” He paused, then finished “The same fight is going on inside of you – and inside every other person as well.”

The grandson thought quietly for a moment, and then asked his grandfather  ” Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, ” The one which you feed.”

Now ask yourself, which one are you feeding right now?

#1. GET CLEAR!

As specifically as possible, decide what you want. The clearer you are on what what you want to have in your life, the more likely you are to achieve it.

#2 GET PERSPECTIVE

Most people don't tell anyone what they really want or what they are struggling with, and because of that they don't get an outside perspective

#3. GET SUPPORT

Very few people (if any) achieve anything great alone. Be willing to ask others to support you
